A correction has been made to the article “Gary McKinnon: a continuing legal battle” We note that Gary McKinnon has not been formally tried and convicted for the offences he is alleged to have committed and as such, he has not been found guilty. Furthermore, we also acknowledge that the argument that Mr McKinnon accessed the computers “deleting data and causing damages amounting to $700,000″ are allegations which have yet to tried and proven in court.

-This is in regards to the reference to the UKDPC as a government agency, the UKDPC is NOT a government agency. The commission was launched in 2007 independently, as a charity and a limited company without any government funding or the involvement of government agencies.
